The diphtheriae ( scientific name : Lonchura malabarica ), also known as the Indian silver-billed paper bird , is a species of the genus of the genus Finch , distributed in Jordan (introduced species), Afghanistan , Pakistan , Puerto Rico (introduced species), the United Arab Emirates , Bangladesh , Iran , India , Saudi Arabia (imported species), Bahrain (imported species), Israel (imported species), Kuwait (imported species), Sri Lanka , Qatar (imported species), Oman , Nepal, and Virgin Islands (imported species ). The protection status of this species was rated as non-hazardous .
The average diphtheria weight is about 11.0 grams. Habitats include subtropical or tropical (lowland) dry scrublands, pastoral grasslands, subtropical or tropical dry forests, cultivated land, dry savannah,and subtropical or tropical (lowland) steppes.
Diphtherias are exotic species of birds in Taiwan and have now become naturalized in Taiwan.

About 11 cm in length, the throat to the abdomen is beige, the head to the back is brown, the mouth is silver-gray, and the tail is black in white.

The grass seeds are used as food, and they often fly in dense groups.

It usually occurs in grasses and farming areas in the flat to low elevations. Sometimes it is mixed with birds such as spotted birds and sparrows .
